Mountain of the Lord

Isa 2:2-4
2 In the last days, the mountain of the house of the Lord
Will be established as the chief of the mountains,
And will be raised above the hills;
And all the nations will stream to it.
3 And many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
That He may teach us concerning His ways
And that we may walk in His paths."

So what is the Mountain of the Lord? Mountains stand for Governments so in the Last Days God's governmental ruling body will be revealed to all the people on planet Earth. God is in the business of redeeming the Earth and the plan has been growing in size through the centuries. God rules through people because he gave the Earth to man, so man is responsible to rule and subdue the Earth. God only shows up when he's invited, as he will not violate someone's free will, so this is dependent upon people choosing to seek God. The contrast between the light and the darkness will be growing in the Last Days. Some cities will be in the light while others will be ruled by darkness. People will be drawn to the light and ask for understanding of the ways of the Lord. Eventually there will be enough people on the Earth asking for God to show up and he will answer their prayer by sending Jesus back to rule as King of all Kings. Imagine God living with man and enjoying the Earth together. Man has not yet attained to the fullness of what God has in store for us.

Being on this mountain is only possible when God is allowed to govern our life. In the Last days it says that the mountain of the Lord will be established. In other words, the people of this world will finally come to an understanding that God exists and is deeply concerned over the affairs of men. That the lies that the enemy has spread were only intended to keep us away from God. The Enemy told us that we would not have to be accountable before God, Our existence was only by chance, and that we accidently appeared here millions of years after the Earth was created. The truth is that God created us for a reason and part of that reason was to experience the Love of God in our lives. God was telling us the truth all along and it was too simple to believe.

The mountain is a symbol of our life in God. We enter on the lower level with an understanding of Salvation and as we grow in faith and the understanding of the Word we start climbing the mountain. On our way we start having encounters with the living God as he tries to direct our path. Sometimes we slip and fall, but if we keep our eyes on Jesus, he’ll pick us back up and get us on the path again.  Everyone is looking to get to the top of this mountain but it appears to be easier said than done.

As we enter the mountain our eyes have been opened to the spiritual world around us. All of a sudden we find out that angles and demons are real. Heaven and Hell are real places and that there’s a spiritual battle going on all around us. It’s the battle for the souls of men and women. The biggest battle was just trying to make it to the mountain as the demonic realm fought ferociously when someone was attempting to enter the mountain. The battle wasn’t over after reaching the mountain as the arrows of the enemy could still reach us.

Living on the mountain of God is a life filled with adventure with glory and consequences, joy and frustration, peace and anxiousness. As we make good choices we experience the Presence of God, then again as we make bad choices, failure and frustration. If only Wisdom we here to help. As I asked for Wisdom for help he appeared every time there was a fork on the path. Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime.
